For 17 years, I raised a rare breed of hair sheep called Barbados Blackbelly on a very small postage-stamp-sized farm in southern Colorado. I recently had to sell my sheep for health reasons, but I remain very involved in the breed association and the consortium of breeders that I founded in 2000. I mention this only because I am still very much “about” Barbados Blackbelly sheep.

I also own a successful technical communications company that I run from my office on the farm. This affords me a rare combination of happiness + earning a living. I live simply and self-sufficiently, making as small a footprint upon this earth as possible.

I am autonomous. I am contrary. I value my integrity above all else.
